Pattaya - Sun, Beach and Nightlife

Pattaya is the most famous tourist resort in Thailand. It lies about 147 kilometers southeast of Bangkok. Numerous hotels, restaurants, beer,  and go-go bars, discos, clubs, shopping centers and tourist attractions the city has to offer and its surroundings. Pattaya has been given a negative image of prostitution, and the government is trying hard to shake it. Hundreds of nightclubs, go-go bars and seedy massage parlors dominate the skyline to point directly to the beach.

During the day we see many families who indulge in the huge air-conditioned shopping centers, the shopping frenzy and incorporate at McDonalds, Burger King, Pizza Company Sizzlers or a meal. At night, the clientele is changing and all the beer bars and go-go dance clubs clamoring to attract hundreds of visitors to the area around the famous "Walking Street", Pattayas Nightlife area no.1.

For a family outing that is only of limited use. The negative image has improved in recent years, but a little and there are more families in the seaside resort on the Gulf of Thailand to the beach life and activities elsewhere to indulge. There are many German, Italian and international restaurants. The food is good and the prices are compared to other tourist areas tend to be low. The Wongamat Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Pattaya.

The islands near the mainland are beautiful with white sand beaches and crystal clear water. Therefore, boat tours are recommended. Chonburi province is the next in the vicinity of Pattaya. Chonburi is a thriving industrial city, has been floundering a bit after the economic crisis due to the reduced valuation of the baht 1997th Fishing, trade and the port contribute to the economic importance.

The Beaches in Pattaya

Pattaya Beach
The most famous beach in Pattaya is the Pattaya Beach, a 3 km long bay along Beach Road, lined with palms and other exotic trees. The beach area to the north is a little quieter and is preferred by tourists who swim, relax or want to try out water sports. The center and the southern part of the beach are full of hotels, restaurants, supermarkets, beer bars, nightclubs and amusement arcades. The beach is full of sun beds and umbrellas, which are rented on a daily basis. A mix of all peoples and strange people, mixed with loads of beach vendors dominate the day and the image of Beach Road. 

Jomtien Beach
He is the big brother of the Pattaya Beach and quiet. With its 6 km long sandy beach it is popular by windsurfers and water sports fans. The water is slightly cleaner than at Pattaya Beach. On the road running parallel to the beach you will find shops, bars, accommodation and restaurants of every imaginable kind little further back to find some new apartment blocks and hotels. There were in the past years of renovation boom that has continued up to the hour and probably do not end so quickly is also because of his new image in Pattaya, grinds and polishes. 

Koh Larn
Is a beautiful small island off Pattaya and certainly one of the sights. It is the 5 km long and at least 2 km wide island in about 40, with the ferry and in 15 minutes. away by speedboat. It lies about 7 km off the mainland and is home to several beautiful sandy beaches where you can swim and snorkelling. The Hat Thong Long beach is across a coral reef. You can either snorkel or view the coral from a glass bottom boat. The ferries to Koh Larn place from South Pattaya pier daily from 10.00 to 18.30. Cruises in sailing boat with included lunch are also on offer.
